Free Shorebird ID Course at Waitootara School!

Join Wild for Taranaki and Te Kaahui o Rauru for a fun, hands-on day learning how to identify and protect the special coastal birds of the Waitootara Estuary and Tapuarau Reserve.

This free Shorebird ID Course is a great opportunity for whānau, uri, and community members to deepen their connection to our taiao. You’ll enjoy interactive indoor learning followed by a guided field session out on the coast (weather permitting), putting your new knowledge into practice.
