Confirmation of Paepae Representative Appointments

Te Kaahui o Rauru is pleased to confirm the outcome of the recent process to fill casual vacancies for Paepae Representatives.

Casual vacancies were publicly advertised on 9 May 2026, with nominations closing on 29 May 2026. Following the close of nominations, all completed nominations were provided to the relevant Marae for endorsement. Confirmation of those endorsements was received by Te Kaahui o Rauru on 12 June 2026.

In accordance with Te Kawa o Te Kaahui o Rauru, where the number of endorsed nominations does not exceed the number of available positions, an election is not required.

The following individuals are therefore confirmed as Paepae Representatives for the remainder of the current term, ending 28 October 2027:

• Patsy      Perenara O'Connell – Waipapa Marae

• Anaru      Luke – Waipapa Marae

• Aarona      McGregor – Kaipoo Marae

• Charmaine      Matiaha – Te Aroha Marae

Te Kaahui o Rauru acknowledges the support of the respective Marae Committees in endorsing these nominations and extends its thanks to all nominees for their willingness to serve our iwi.
