Te Paepae Representation

Te Kaahui o Rauru advises that casual vacancies have arisen on Te Paepae o Te Kaahui o Rauru for a number of marae representative positions.

In accordance with Schedule 1, clause 2 of Te Kaahui o Rauru Trust Deed, nominations are now open for adult registered uri to fill these vacancies for the remainder of the current term, ending October 2027.

VACANCIES

The current casual trustee vacancies are:

• Te Wairoa Iti - 1 position

• Waipapa - 2 positions

• Takirau - 1 position

• Te Ihupuku - 2 positions

• Kaipoo - 1 position

• Paakaraka - 1 position

• Kai Iwi - 1 position

• Te Aroha - 1 position

WHO CAN BE NOMINATED?

Uki wanting to be nominated as a Paepae Representative must:​

• Be an adult registered uki of Te Kaahui o Rauru

• Be on the named Marae Uki Register

• Adhere to the requirements as outlined in Te Kawa o Te Kaahui o Rauru

• Include a candidate profile statement for inclusion in voting packs

• Provide documentation for Anti Money Laundering (AML) rule requirements

HOW TO SUBMIT A NOMINATION

Completed nomination forms for the vacant Paepae Representative positions must be received by Te Kaahui o Rauru no later than:

5pm on Friday 29th May 2026.

Where the number of valid nominations received for a marae exceeds the number of positions available, an election will be held.
